Amazon actually came through. Well, actually I should say, their insurance company came through. They are cutting a check for the full amount I estimated to repair it, including the $100 in labor. 🙂
After putting some screws into the loosened joints I stained the post with some redwood stain from the brewery days. Then I got a new, slightly fancier mailbox and some stick-on numbers to finish the job.
I will redo the cement around the base once the weather cools off.
