Over the course of a decade from 2010 – 2020 I had 4 surgeries on my spine. Three artificial discs in my lumbar spine and four in my cervical spine. At the time of my last surgery I had the most artificial discs of any (living) human in the US (there were multiple cadaver surgeries that may or may not have more). A rather underwhelming distinction if ever I saw one.
