Gotta love an old house…
The roof over the sunroom started leaking. Fun times! I had to strip back a few rows of shingles the whole way across and replace a lot more near the outside corner. Part of the repair was removing the old on-roof gutter. It was a stupid design anyway and I will have to do it on the porch on the front of the house as well.
The room was built as a porch in the 1920’s. I have no idea when it was enclosed into a room. It lasted 100 years so we have that going for us…
It is amazing what you learn when you have an old house. I need to put a gutter on the edge of the roof in the immediate future. I will also be going back and replacing the rest of that lower roof this summer. I don’t mind a color mismatch, what I don’t like is the jagged edge.
