We have finally done it. We have replaced EVERY appliance in the house. It all started eight years ago when we replaced the refrigerator right after moving in. We couldn’t find a suitable French door fridge, so while we were at the Sears outlet, I opened the doors of two standard, side-by-side refrigerators and, jokingly said, “How about this?” We’ve had two fridges in the kitchen ever since.
It was several years before we replaced anything else, but since then we have (in no particular order) replaced:
- The furnace
- The AC (with a heat pump)
- The hot water heater
- The washer and dryer (twice!(can’t forget about the fire!))
- The range
- The dishwasher
- The garbage disposal
- and finally the microwave
